Our completely natural, sun dried calcium bentonite clay is one of the most treasured therapeutic grade clays in the world. It is mined in a pristine location outside of Death Valley National Park, in the Mojave Desert, California. It is a magnesium-rich, volcanic-origin smectite which is taken from the ground and milled to 325 mesh. It is not chemically processed or heat treated in any way. It has a pH of between 9.5 and 10.0.

• This clay was has been university tested and private laboratory tested and shown to have antimicrobial properties (7-10 minute time-kill studies). It is one of the few alkaline clays in the world to have direct antimicrobial properties.
